About Me
LOVE ECOTHERAPY
Hi, my name is Morgan Piercy (she/her) and I’m a therapist in the Hope Roots Collective building at 119th & Black Bob in Olathe, Kansas. I work trauma from a neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, and deconstruction-affirming/religious-trauma-informed perspective.
I am passionate about lifestyle design.
Therapy helps you create a life that’s meaningful, balanced, and aligned with your values. I specialize in supporting individuals who feel burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected as they work to reclaim their mental energy and emotional well-being. Through therapy, I help clients identify what truly gives their life purpose, reduce stress and anxiety, and build sustainable habits that support long-term mental health. My approach focuses on values-based living, nervous system regulation, and intentional life planning so your daily life reflects what matters most to you. Let’s work together to design a future that supports your mental health, personal growth, and overall well-being.
I believe human beings are fundamentally worthy.
People who teach you that you are not enough, inherently depraved, or intrinsically corrupt in some way do not have your best interest at heart.
You are a gift to the world. You are a gift to society. You matter.
CORPORATE ENGINEER TURNED THERAPIST
I am so proud to offer outdoor counseling options at Hope Roots Collective for a calming, grounded session experience (depending on the season and availability).
I have chosen to build my practice at Hope Roots Collective because of their dedication to incorporating nature into their services. I offer walk-and-talk therapy, and there are various options for sitting outside during our session (including outdoor, adult-sized swings that are perfect for neurodiverse clients). Also, some clients find it hard to sit still for a whole hour and I want to honor that! Please contact me directly for more information.
I’m proud to be a part of

Since that is such a mouthful, and way beyond Psychology Today’s character limit, you’ll typically see me as Morgan Piercy, LPC, NCC, ACT-PT (she/her). Here are my certificates, certifications, and credentials:
Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas (LPC 05144).
M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University
Member of the American Counseling Association
National Certified Counselor (NCC)
Certificate in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Skills (ACT-PT)
This training equips me to help clients struggling with OCD, depression, complex trauma, hypervigilance, and chronic worry by teaching skills rooted in mindfulness and values-based living. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is especially powerful for people feeling stuck in cycles of self-criticism or trauma-related distress, providing tools for building resilience and emotional flexibility.
Certificate in ADHD Assessment and Treatment (ADHD-PT)
With specialized training in ADHD assessment and treatment, I can better support both children and adults navigating focus challenges, overwhelm, and executive functioning struggles that often accompany ADHD. This helps clients manage co-occurring issues such as anxiety, depression, and shame that impact daily mental health. Therapy is not about optimizing your performance, it’s about holding space and acknowledging the emotional impact of ADHD.
Certificate in Anxiety & OCD Diagnosis & Treatment (ANX-PT)
This certification deepens my expertise in diagnosing and treating generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobias, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and worries that keep the mind stuck in loops. It allows me to offer evidence-based tools to reduce hypervigilance and fear, particularly for clients with trauma or religious scrupulosity.
Certificate in EMDR Therapy Skills (EMDRPT-I)
This foundational EMDR training provides me with skills to help clients process trauma memories that fuel symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety. EMDR therapy is a highly effective approach for those experiencing flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, or C-PTSD after difficult life experiences like childhood trauma, verbal abuse, emotional neglect, or narcissistic abuse.
Certificate in Advanced EMDR Therapy Skills (EMDRPT-II)
With advanced EMDR training, I can support clients through more complex trauma, including childhood neglect, betrayal trauma, and relational wounds. This deeper skill set helps me guide people toward lasting healing when traditional talk therapy has not fully addressed their mental health concerns.
Certificate in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFT-PT)
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy training gives me tools to help clients quickly find hope and relief in the midst of anxiety, stress, or depression. By focusing on strengths and future possibilities, this approach is especially supportive for those navigating big life transitions or adjustment disorders. This is a useful approach for breakup recovery or faith deconstruction, where individuals feel overwhelmed in rebuilding their lives after significant change or loss.
Certificate in Evidence-Based PTSD Treatment (PTSD-PT)
This certification ensures I use the most up-to-date, research-backed methods for treating PTSD, C-PTSD, and trauma-related anxiety. Clients benefit from structured, compassionate care that reduces hyperarousal, improves emotional regulation, and fosters recovery from trauma’s long-lasting effects.
Certificate in Sex, Intimacy, and Relational Healing (SIRH-PT)
This training allows me to help individuals and couples address intimacy concerns, relationship struggles, and the impact of trauma on sexuality. It is particularly useful for clients of all sexual orientations working through religious trauma, shame, or anxiety related to connection and self-worth. I am passionate about working with adults who grew up in purity culture and feel super awkward about their sexuality.
Certificate in Anti-Racist Mental Health Practice (AR-PT)
This certification grounds my practice in culturally responsive and anti-racist approaches to counseling. It helps me support clients from marginalized communities experiencing the compounded stress, anxiety, and trauma of systemic oppression. My therapy practice fiercely rejects white colonialism, Christian reconstructionism, dominion theology, Christian nationalism, white supremacy, and fascism. I am passionate about working with those who have been harmed by these oppressive systems.
Certificate in Clinical Trauma Treatment - Level 1 (CCT-PT)
This certification equips me with advanced tools to help clients heal from narcissistic abuse, childhood trauma, betrayal trauma, and religious trauma syndrome. It emphasizes trauma-informed interventions that validate survivors’ experiences while rebuilding safety and self-trust. With this training, I guide clients through the recovery process with compassion, evidence-based care, and a focus on long-term emotional resilience.
Certificate in Neural Desensitization and Integration Training (NDIT-C)
This certification provides a powerful method for addressing the nervous system dysregulation caused by spiritual abuse, religious trauma, adverse childhood experiences, and betrayal trauma. By targeting the body’s stored responses to traumatic experiences, NDIT helps clients release fear, shame, and emotional triggers connected to past abuse. Through this approach, I support survivors in reclaiming a sense of calm, empowerment, and wholeness on their healing journey.
Certificate in Neurocriminology (NCRIM-PT)
This certification provides specialized training in how brain science, trauma, and behavior intersect. It helps therapists deepen their insight into the lasting impact of narcissistic abuse, complex trauma, and childhood adversity. This certification equips professionals to better understand trauma-related behaviors, the nervous system’s role in survival responses, and the pathways from toxic relationships to healing.
Certified Neuropsychotherapist (NPT-C)
This certification deepens my understanding of how the brain, trauma, and mental health are interconnected. By integrating neuroscience into therapy, I can better help clients with depression, C-PTSD, and anxiety regulate their nervous systems and find healing rooted in both science and compassion. I love helping clients transform their relationship with their vagus nerve so they can experience better sleep and digestive issues related to anxiety.

Sandplay/ sand tray interventions are offered during Monday, in-person appointments.
Let’s start discovering your most values-driven life today.
My therapy work supports exvangelical adults who feel overwhelmed by religious trauma, spiritual abuse, and anxiety after leaving high control Christianity. I help clients understand what exvangelical means. The term describes people who grew up in evangelical culture and later chose to step away after harmful experiences, identity shifts, or deep questions. Many clients feel grief, guilt, and fear as they break long standing patterns. My approach centers trauma informed care that validates the pain of purity culture, Christian Nationalism pressure, and family of origin conflict. I help clients rebuild identity, reduce shame, and create emotional safety. My sessions focus on practical healing tools, nervous system support, and boundaries with religious family members. I integrate evidence based methods that help people reclaim autonomy after church based trauma. This helps clients form secure relationships, trust themselves again, and develop a grounded sense of self. My work often includes processing existential anxiety, deconstructing rigid beliefs, and healing the loneliness that follows spiritual disconnection. I support clients through the complex grief that comes with losing a faith community. I help them build new meaning, new values, and a stable inner world.
